The West 68th Street Block Association membership is automatic and comprised of local residents, businesses, institutions and property owners located on or adjoining West 68th Street between Central Park West and Amsterdam Avenue. 

Together with our community elected Executive Board, Leadership Steering Committee and Block Association Committees, our mission is to build community, achieve a superior quality of living and maintain a safe and beautiful neighborhood.

Association Executive Board
The Association Executive Board spends time meeting and coordinating efforts with Association members, other neighboring association group leaders, local community boards, elected officials, law enforcement administrators, and government agencies in order to represent and achieve the Association’s mission and foster the best quality of life for our residents, businesses and institutions.

Leadership Steering Committee (“LSC”)
Our Leadership Steering Committee is made up of individual representatives that embody the voice of our street's broad spectrum of constituents.  The LSC informs and steers the direction of the Association Executive Board (AEB) and assist in prioritizing community issues.

Block Association Committees (“BACs”)
Our Block Association Committees are made up of individual representatives who embrace and collaborate on our most frequent and ongoing agendas items.  Each Committee is tasked with defining, managing and meeting agenda goals.   A Chairperson is elected to oversee the Committee and ensure that all points of view get heard.
